Alison, I'm jealous! IKEA came into New Haven right after I moved to Torrington!! I've been wanting to go but the BF won't let me, afraid I'll spend too much!!! I wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your blog and your work!

Alison, I do love when you talk knitting, but I find the whole twin thing so funny. I didn't find that age very humorous, I am sorry to say, but I must tell you I love having teens in the house. When I read about your boys, I wish I been able to enjoy that age more, and that's okay. I am amazed that you can parent them, knit and organize sockapalooza, cant' wait for my secret person info!

Blow up swords --I know where we're going after ice skating today! My 7 & 9 year old boys think that you're "WAY COOL" to have found such an awesome toy for your boys!

I live 90 minutes from that new IKEA but I haven't made it there yet. DH is not up for a shopping trip with both of our little ones, lol...and I'm not up for doing it by myself! Sigh. Some days mommyhood leaves little time for knitting (or anything else).

Alison,

Do you know that they are building a new IKEA in Stoughton/Avon near Jordan's furniture. I saw the sign there last weekend. It's just a big hole right now, but it won't be long! I just finished knitting the "Sweet and Lowdown Chair" from the Fall Interweave Knits (still have to put the zippers in) and it cost me as much to have the chair shipped as it did to buy the chair. Something to look forward to. Keep up the blog - I look forward to it every day.

So that's what that thing was in my son's Kid's Meal this afternoon! He's having a great time harassing his sisters with it.

Your boys have good taste! The cinnamon buns are my favorite part of IKEA, too!

I used to think I was lucky to have two IKEAs to visit - one about an hour north and the other about an hour south. Then they went and built one about 10 minutes away, and I was sunk. Most of our house is modern Swedish!

The clubs look like fun, too!

Those are some great toys from McDonald's. I think my bf and I could use some. You just take your time getting to knitting. Seeing those cute boys of yours is alright with me :)

I'm jealous too, Ikea in New HAVEN? I never knew. That's awfully close to my old stomping grounds. It might be good that I now live in a corn field in the midwest.
