comments: knit lit fit
-------------------------------------- oooh - I cant wait until steph's book is out in the UK. I think its the end of May though so I have to wait a little longer.. posted by kerrie on april 4, 2005I just this morning finished Stephanie's book. It is wonderful. I'm not sure that it was meant to be read in like three sittings but I did. I kept laghing out loud and then I'd have to share with DH. I think it scared him a little to find out that I'm not the only one in the world who obsesses about yarn and knitting. Have Fun! posted by Jennifer on april 4, 2005That Verena looks really interesting - does it have English translations? I took some German in college and I'm still having nightmares. Can't imagine trying to figure out a pattern. posted by Cara on april 4, 2005The big debate -- should I read or knit! Plus, Leslie P.S. I just picked up "At Knit's End" too. posted by leslie on april 4, 2005I'd be curious to know what you liked in the Verena. I'm currently making cardigan # 43 in kelly green. posted by valentina on april 4, 2005I've never heard of Verena. I guess you're able to understand it well enough. Nothing like browsing the new patterns :) posted by Vicki on april 4, 2005Verena looks nice - the only other German knitting magazine I know of is Rebecca. I wonder where you got it from: when I was in Germany for Christmas I couldn't find Rebecca anywhere and never noticed this one! Maybe I just don't know the right places to look in the Ingolstadt/Munich area. posted by Marie on april 4, 2005Hello Alison, can you tell me if you have a subscription to "Verena" and if yes how much it is and where I can get it? Thanks a lot! Mona posted by Mona on april 4, 2005Flipping through knitting mags always inspires me to pick up my abandoned projects and either frog them or finish them so that I can make room on my roster for whatever cool new pattern I've spotted :-). posted by Dani on april 4, 2005In the Verena mag, I really like the long blue coat (it's on the page that I linked to). It looks so fun! I don't know if there's an english translation for the mag. I've never seen or heard of one. I noticed that One Fine Yarn sells the magazines, but in German. I don't have a subscription myself, just a very nice mother-in-law who always sends me the latest mags. (Unfortunately she has a hard time finding Rebecca mags too, Marie!) posted by alison on april 5, 2005Hey Alison! I finished my february fix, finally!! Check it out on my most recent post. Thanks for a fun knitalong... my tank top thanks you too! posted by Emily on april 5, 2005Those post-project blues always come around... I find browing patterns for inspiration often works for me, hope it did for you too. posted by anna on april 5, 2005Hello everyone, Yoohoo, Tuesday... knitalong day! I've come to count on your Tuesday entries. ;) Looks like good knit-lit. Can't wait for the Summer IK! posted by Liz on april 5, 2005-------------------------------------- Note: In an effort to combat spam commenting, comments will be closed after the post is one week old.
