The Shel is a great poet; it's even better listening to him recite this one. But be warned against his early work with the band. He's one dirty old coot.

posted by Laurie on june 20, 2005That's so funny. I read Shel Silverstein poems to my friend's grade 1-2 class on Friday. I didn't read Sick, but she quoted it for the students. (My fav. is the Polar Bear in Fridgidaire -sp?). The boys look like they had fun!
