I would love to know what the far left yarn is in the photo - browns and pinks and greens? Gorgeous!

Michele, the yarn is "Naturwolle" from Germany. It's a bulky wool that comes in the most fabulous range of variegated colors. I fell in love with this colorway as soon as I saw it!

Love, love, love, that Silky Wool. I've been trying to resist temptation for some at the LYS until after Xmas. We'll see how long I resist. Looking at yours, it's making it tougher.

I love that hat!! Its gorgeous. I love how the Silky Wool coordinates with the handspun-- cant wait to see the finished project. By the way, here is a status report on my Weasley hat on my blog today (there is also a photo of a sock reading your blog there)

Now that I am done with the sock exchange ;)...
You insipired me again. I pulled out my hat this morning to realize it really needs to be replaced. Remebering this post, I pulled out some varigated blue, green, gray and black worsted and matched it with some gray mohair. I plan on using the same basic pattern you have and teach a couple of fellow students at school next week how to do this. Ahhhh, I love making hats. :D
