too pooped to pick

Well, despite my attempts to psyche myself up, I didn't start the tiger socks. I did pick up the Dale bug sweater, though, and started the pattern on the body. But we've all caught another little bug here (what is it that's going around?!) and I have only been able to do a round or two at a time. So slow progress, but progress nonetheless.

And I confess - I thought about this a lot!

Hope you feel better soon. I remember when my kids were little. We had a couple of winters when it seemed like we were all ill on an almost continuous basis.

Since Oliver started nursery in September we've had a bad cold ,with lingering cough, hand, foot and mouth[ loved the blisters on my fingers as I couldn't even knit to cheer myself up ] and then 3 week long flu, again with a bad cough.
I wince every time another child coughs or sneezes !

We've been constantly sick here for weeks, and just when you think it's gone... I hope you feel better soon! There's nothing worse than being too sick to knit!

Poor you! I hope you can get some rest - maybe a nap with the boys. Get better : )

Your Dale sweater is looking good! Your stranding on the back looks so neat. Hope you feel better soon. Remember, this too shall pass....

Think of it as boot camp or training to be a monk or something. I'm with Ariel Gore on the whole sleep-deprivation-breaking-down-barriers-of-the-psyche thing. In a few years it will be over and then nothing will ever seem as hard(I hope). I'm in the same boat (or waiting room as the case may be)-I was spoiled because Isabel, the oldest, has a really strong immune system and is rarely sick-turns out she's really more of a carrier-but Alice has had one bug or another basically since birth. Who gets croup in May? We will emerge invincible. And then, grandchildren!

Things we have in common: I too am really good at celebrity voice-overs, it's one of my "things" as Little Bill would say, I always wished I had red hair too, and I have favorite-color issues.

We've been flying the sick house banner here for 8 days now - now sleep, no knitting and no time for blogging. Hope you guys are getting better.

I got a flier from the Hub Mills Factory Store in Lowell, for more info see cyborgoddess.blogspot.com.
