knitting therapy

I had a bad, bad day yesterday, which I am pretty sure will continue over into today. I just couldn't muster up the energy last night to do any finishing work on the two sweaters waiting to be completed. I needed some simple, straight knitting to calm me down, so I picked up my husband's vest for some stockinette therapy. I'll probably need to spend some more time with it tonight to work through the stresses of today as well. I'll post a progress picture tomorrow.

I hope you'll feel better soon... Wool Cotton should help, it is such a wonderful yarn !

I hope you have a better day and that the knitting does it's job to help you de-stress.

Hope today is better than you are expecting Alison. Some days are just horrible aren't they?

I know what you mean about bad days. Monday was mine. I was standing with my head in the freezer, crying! It was a baaaad day. Then when I finally sat down for the evening and picked up my knitting I realized, I should have knit earlier and calmed myself down. Now to knit everyday at some point.

It's goin' around Alison. I think the planets must be in some sort of strange alignment. Mindless, simple knitting is good for the soul. Let's hope we are in finishing moods by the weekend. Hang in there.

Thanks everyone for your happy thoughts and wishes. It gave me warm fuzzies to know that people were wishing me well and it inspired me to seek out some more warm fuzzies during the day.

Everyone is bugging me about my knitting, "oh you don't look like a knitter" and start laughing their heads off. So I say tell me what a knitter is suppose to look like? I am glad that I am a knitter and it certainly clams me down and I will live longer. To all the knitters out there keep up the good work.
