m u s t . . . k n i t . . . f a s t e r . . .

I'm about 1/3 of the way up the second sleeve of greensleeves and the first of my three remaining skeins is thinning out. The tension is mounting. I am so anxious to see whether or not there's enough yarn, that I might just have to do some marathon knitting to find out.
Speaking of marathon knitting, you have got to check out Inga's Lopi sweater that she made last month in FOUR days (from 2/12 to 2/15). Incredible!

You knit so fast now, I'm afraid you are going to start a fire! I hope it works out--do you know what that green yarn is? Any hope of ordering it or checking on ebay? I once found a lost pattern on a knit-list; you might have some luck if you only need a skein or two (why I didn't think of this earlier...jeez...). Good luck!
I am keeping my fingers crossed. But I know you will come up with a creative solution if you run out yarn.
Alison, if it becomes dire, try knitswap in yahoo groups. Put in a request & someone is bound to have a ball or 2 in their stash & sell it to you. In US terms at least, the prices offered are reasonable. Damn that the Aussie dollar has dropped again. :-))
Isn't it funny how when you know you're about to run out, you knit faster and faster, as if to outrun the yarn?
Hi everyone! Thanks for the suggestions and the crossed fingers. I really doubt that I could find more of the same yarn, since I think it's quite a while out of production, but I'll keep the Yahoo lists in mind in case I do run out. I posted once there looking for another ball of the yarn I used for my very first sweater. Many people wrote back with suggestions and someone even had seen some of the same yarn in a different lot in their LYS. So it was a big help!
