reckoning again
Okay, that was the sweaters. Just as I don't get excited in the same way about knitting socks and hats like I do about knitting sweaters, I couldn't motivate myself to inventory my "other" stash while still dreaming of all those sweaters-to-be.
But now, I'm ready. Here's the small stuff, in descending order of length of time stuffed under bed. group a- lorna's laces sock yarn for me
- regia sock yarn for me
- regia crazy colors leftover yarn waiting to become socks to match the crazy continental!
Except for the crazy colors yarn, I'm not sure I even like this sock yarn anymore. group b- regia sock yarn abandoned after quest to turn all remaining yarn from the boys' vests into matching socks
- 100g skein of regia sock yarn for even more baby socks
And since buying all this sock yarn, I've learned that I don't really enjoy knitting socks all that much. group c- phildar polaire to make mittens to match my blue hat
- more phildar polaire, but in brown for my brown hat
These two have a really good chance of getting started soon, although, an abrubt (and unlikely) end to this winter we're having could postpone any hats or mittens for a while.
And coming up next week: a few good leftovers in search of projects. Can you help them?

And there's more.... I've never been tempted with sock knitting, not sure what is stopping me. Just to make your stash situation worse (or better depending on how you look at it) I'm posting the rest of the Chenille over tomorrow..
Aloha, Alison:
I thought I was the only knitter born without the sock gene. I tried it, I can do it, but I just not enjoy making them. It seems as though I should since I make so many small gauge projects, but I just don't. It's nice to hear someone else feels the same. LOL. I hope you have a great weekend. I sure enjoy your site.
How brave you are to go through the projects and post them! I say if the socks don't move you, trade the yarn for something exciting! This is a hobby, not a job, right? Thanks for the comments about bust darts, but I decided to rip back to the i-cord boarder and increase two stiches every 12 rows, and put in alternating yellow and white rows while I am at it. I also decided to make the shirt sleeveless. Just like writing, some knitting projects could use an edit here or there.
What a great blog!! I love your projects. I however still enjoy making socks (they make great take-along projects). If you are interested in trading or selling your Regia stash from Group B, please feel free to let me know. My children are not-so-patiently waiting for their socks -- in bright colors, of course. Your colors are perfect!!!
Want to sell your sock yarn?

Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by the inventory. Funny thing, doing an inventory of some older stash. I can see why they got stuffed away, but now that they're out again, they're growing on me. I am actually having trouble staying focused on greensleeves, because socks and mittens are calling to me!
