knitting pretty

A while ago I was dismayed at my lack of progress on my growing number of unfinished knitting projects and wrote a little knitting ditty about knitting pretty shitty. But now, despite still having a mound of unfinished projects, I am really loving my knitting. These summer projects are cool and (relatively) quick. The colors are fun and then there's the incredible knitalongs that are coming up. I also have much more space in our bedroom to store and (more importantly) see all my knitting. I particularly love this little table with my all season's cotton and cotton glace stash and my current projects waiting to be finished. It just makes me happy to see them sitting there so invitingly. I've been so inspired that I'm almost done with my sweetness tank! (Stay tuned for the finished product rendered in crappy images by my video camera.)

look at all that beautiful all season's cotton...and love those bins--are they from pottery barn?

I'm ogling those bins, too. Very pretty.

I must admit that I too love those boxes!! And of course the yarn in them!

Yay for Alison's video camera pictures! Clearly, I go into withdrawal when I can't get my regular "fix" of Alison's [not shitty at all but] very pretty knitting. Oh, and can I please have your yarn bins? Thank you.

P.S. You went in and snuck another All Season's Cotton tank on me! You're evil. You KNEW that I'd want to knit it along with you, even though I have a mount of unfinished projects and a yarn stash that is now hogging up a whole closet. So please add my name to the list :-)

Hi Alison,

I came this way via Clémence... and discovered your knitalong for Phildar 378. I've been eyeing that top up for my daughter. Could I join the knitalong?

Hopefully this summer I will try out some all season's cotton. Right now I am in treading water mode! Love those bins.

Hi all! Thanks for sharing in my happy knitting moment. The canvas basket/bins are from Pottery Barn and they work great for holding stash that you want to be able to see and touch. And they have stripes, which I'm a sucker for. Inspired by the baskets, I'm now off to plan stripes for Pagan.

Oh, I forgot to thank Kerrie for sending me all that lovely asc to put in my lovely striped baskets. One knitter's overflow is another's prized stash. Just wait, Kerrie, until you see the awesome stripes I'm coming up with with your oddballs of yarn!
