tanking along

Thanks to Becky for the awesome button!
Everyone's tank sounds and looks really great. It's exciting watching everyone knit away on the same project. Since we're only a virtual knitting group, we can't really have a group picture, but what do you all think about sending me a pic of your finished tank and I post them all together here?
This weekend I was overcome by the need to knit up the purpley Cotton Ease (I'm doing the rest of the top, yes tank girl #3, in some purple all seasons cotton) and so didn't make quite as much progress on Pagan as others have, but I did finish all the increases and decreases of the waist shaping. I made a little boo-boo in one spot, shifting the increases over a stitch, but with all that stripeyness going on, I don't think it's noticeable. I'm loving this project so much that I don't want to go back to fidget with one little stitch. Plus, I can't wait to wear it!

tank girls
I love your stripes Alison, they look gorgeous. And I agree with you about can't wait to wear this, I'm hoping to be able to finish the knitting on mine tonight and then block and seam tomorrow. I love being a tank girl!
Alison, I hope you don't mind a purely shameless plug. For all those jelous knitters out there who can not join in for the Tank Girl knit-along, I am proposing a summer shawl knit along on my blog. Maybe some of your readers who don't have the arms, bust, belly or hips for those lovely svelt tanks, will care to join in for a nice sexy cover up!
Your tank looks just like Cutey Patooty! I guess I could make it in my size.
Very pretty, Alison. Those colors remind me of the bag of Pingouin I have. The yarn that continues to baffle me. I think it's cursed. Is that why you didn't buy it? *lol* Loving Tank #3 as well. The weather today is perfect tank weather, too.
Mine would have to be one big cover-up! :) Quitting smoking was good for my lungs, but not good for anything else!! I just need to kick my big butt into gear so I CAN wear those svelte tanks. :)
All your tanks are looking spiffy! You ARE the Tank Empress of the Bloglands. Go, Alison, Go!
(I don't know whether to stop reading your blog for the summer, or just give into the urges and buy enough cotton to do, oh, about ten tanks. You're a bad influence. But in a good way :-)
I love those two purples together. You are definitely inspiring me to get into the tank mood.
