button, button
Spent most of my free time yesterday making some little buttons for the current knit-alongs. Becky did such a good job on the Tank Girl button, I was a little intimidated to give it a try. But we can't have Becky making the Becky-wannabe button, now can we?!

In actual knitting news, I've cast on for the front of the wannabe sweater. Looks just like the cast on for the back (by George, I think she's got it!), so no new pictures today. Maybe when I separate for the neck!

Hey Alison! I wanted to let you know I'd like to Smooch along with you guys, even though mine's pretty slow going. Im stealing a Smooch banner! It's lovely :)
great becky button - i'll steal it when i get home tonight or maybe tomorrow!! :) and god, i am almost convinced to do smooch (not until July however) so maybe i'll use that one too. we'll see. i'll be like a tank/smooch girl on my own when i finally get around to it months after everyone else!! :)
Love your buttons! I'm gonna swipe the wannabe one right now :)
You are The Button Babe! Love 'em. :)
That Smooch button is stinking cute! Gotta have it.
Too cool buttons!! You rock :-)
MAKE ME PINK! I finally started Smooch, right in time with your groovy new button. Grateful for your tip about the knit/cast off trios -- I'd hate to have been ripping so early on. Thanks for all!
Hallo Alison, my name is Inga and I live in Hamburg. I like to join your "smooch-along". I do not have a knitting-blog, but I could send you some digicam-pictures via e-mail. I am still experimenting with the tricky border. Thanks to your instructions I hope I can get it right.
I am using ggh-yarn "Samoa" in an iceberg-colour.
The buttons are great, you're a natural! ;)
Alison, is the Cotton Collection book from this year? I haven't been able to locate it locally. Do you have any sources online you could pass on? Thanks.
Aw, shucks. You all are so kind to swipe my buttons.
Welcome to the new knitalongers. If you don't have a blog you can send me a progress picture by email and I can post it here. Inga, I just got some of that Samoa yarn, myself. I was thinking it might be a nice substitute for the all seasons cotton. Glad to hear that you'll be using it.
Ariana, you might try www.theknittinggarden.com for the asc book or sakonnetpurls which is a local retailer up here that also has an online store. Good luck finding the book.
Awesome job on the buttons! I swiped them this morning and put them on my blog :)
