I'm knitting the Ruana from Folk Shawls this winter....does that count as a poncho? It has a slit/hole for the head and fringe on either end. ?? So sign me up if that one counts!

I am looking forward in seeing more knitted bugs! ;) Can't say I really like bugs in real like but on the sweaters you knit, they always look more fun! ;)

I can't wait to see the bug sweater complete and being modeled by one of your sons. Happy knitting!

any encouraging words about "picking up stitches" oh god how I dread that phrase....
on the front bands of FRED the ribbie cardie???
Love the bugginess.....

Wish I could help, Greta, but I hate picking up stitches so much that I'm knitting separate bands and sewing them on (see tomorrow's post)! Good luck with Fred. :)
