dreaming of blue sheep

More blue sheep! In honor of my blue knitting blog, Inga from Hamburg sent me this terrific picture of an art installation she saw at a garden show.

I love it! These little guys are definitely finding a permanent home here at the blue blog. For now I'm letting them graze in the title banner and on a new button. What d'ya think?

Love the blue sheep!! Can I join the Holiday Gift-Along? I have 9 gifts to knit (1 down, 8 more to go!) and could use a little motivation. :)

Love them! Good choice!

Posted by: Anita at November 13, 2003 10:03 AM

Cute blue sheep. Maybe some day you can have a flock of you own!

Add me to your holiday gift along too. I have 5 with two done, one only needs seaming, and two are in progress.

Love the blue sheep and the new button! Can you please add me to the poncho-a-long (I've succumbed) and the holiday gift-along. I actually added a holiday gift progress thing-y to my sidebar last night. It's coming so fast!!!!

Oh, I LOVE the blue sheep! Hey, I may have to join the gift-along if I can figure out exactly how many more gifts I have to make!

Posted by: Sharlene at November 13, 2003 10:30 AM

I love it. I'm putting that up for your button on my page. What a great picture.

Posted by: stonering at November 13, 2003 10:36 AM

Oh, and I'd like to join the holiday giftalong too. I'll have to count what I need to get done. 5 or 6 I think. With one done that would make 7. Plus a couple dish cloths too.

Posted by: stonering at November 13, 2003 10:42 AM

Love 'em! They're so cu-u-u-ute! Can I be a button collector?

Posted by: Marg at November 13, 2003 10:48 AM

Oh, I love the button. Perfect!!

Add me to the giftalong....need to count, but about 12 things, and 5 down. ::gulp:: Problem is, I am adding things faster than I am knitting them. Drats!

OK, you get the blue sheep if I can have the orange sheep. Deal?

hey - knitsmiths - isn't that you - http://www.boston.com/news/globe/living/calendar/articles/2003/11/13/knitting_factories/

Blue sheep! Perfect, if only they came that way...sigh...

Posted by: Silvia at November 13, 2003 2:50 PM

So glad you all like the sheep! I'm definitely keeping them around. They make me happy. And I'm also happy that so many of you are joining the gift-along. You've inspired me to cast on for my first giftie tonight!

Carolyn, yes that's a Boston Globe article about hip, young knitters in Boston which mentions the Knitsmiths. The author visited the group several times and is learning to knit! The print article has a list of many online resources including knitty, knitters review, Martha's list of Boston area stores, and the blue blog. :)

Must add that I do, in fact, know how to spell "dyed". My only exscuse for typing "died" is being Mom to a 2 year old
