christmas break
Do gift-knitters get vacation days?
I'd had my fill of mistakes and bad yarn karma this week and I felt a little twinge in my hand again. So in order to save the gifts and my hand, I officially gave myself permission to take a little break from holiday knitting. I went to the movies - something I rarely get to do. Want proof: the last movies I saw in the theaters (in reverse order) were Seabiscuit, Matchstick Men, L'Auberge Espanol, About a Boy, Gosford Park, and Riding in Cars with Boys. That's it in the last two years (and I used to see scores of movies every year). Pretty pathetic, I know. I guess you can see how I get so much knitting done!
And since I'm taking a Christmas break, I'm going to go play in the snow now. Woo hoo!

Have fun away from knitting! If it's any consolation, I probably go to less movies than you. I can't even remember the last theatre movie I saw, it's been that long. I'd really like to go see "Love, actually" soon though. I'm getting tired of holiday knitting too!
Brenda, that's what I saw last night. Very cute! You should definitely try to make it out and see it. Treat yourself!
Have fun in the snow, I'll be flying through it shortly! :)
Unfortunately, I think I can top you on going-to-the-movies pathetic-ness. The last two years? Umm, I've seen Finding Nemo and Piglet's Big Movie.
Sharlene, that is pretty sad. My boys aren't old enough for movies yet, but when they are I'm sure that my list will look like yours!
I made it out to the movies this weekend too! How did that happen? I also saw Love Actually! Cute!
Enjoy your Christmas vacation - you, of all people, deserve it! Cheers.
