the twelve gifts of knitsmas

Awesome knit-gifts, gift-alongers! I hope all your pressies were well recieved.

But who wouldn't appreciate a beautiful Booga Bag, or fuzzy rockstar scarf? What child wouldn't love to recieve a boy's backpack and bear or puppy puppets? What relative wouldn't be touched to find a cabled sweater or a a pretty poncho under the tree? And is there anyone who wouldn't be tickled to get a Cowboys football helmet or little Christmas finger puppets? Very merry, indeed.

My siblings-in-law reportedly loved their christmas hats. Although perhaps not as much as my boys loved their new rampy, garage toy for their Matchbox cars! And I was "wooooow"ed to find some Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran yarn (my new favorite yarn!) under the tree for me. How do you think I'd look in this?

And there was one last Christmas surprise. Perhaps excited by the promise of presents, the boys taught themselves how to safely climb out of their cribs. They'll never sleep again! Merry Christmas, mama.

It's hard to imagine a nicer present than some DB Cashmerino. I have been thinking about making the Must-Have cardi.

Mmmmm. Cashmerino. Someone loves you!

All so nice...I managed to get 8 of 9 done by Xmas...not bad, eh? I really want to make my godkids some puppy puppets now...

Thanks, Lisa!

Those puppy puppets are adorable. I know some of you may be having trouble seeing them. Seems like my link has overloaded Libby's site (oops!). If you can't see them come back later and try the link again. Libby, I'd be happy to host a picture or a copy of that picture or page for you here, if the extra traffic is causing you any problems!

Go for it Alison! I started my must-have a couple of days ago and it's so much fun to knit! I'm loving it!

Oh no, the climbing out of the cot stage - guaranteed to make momma sleep nervously in her bed! The cashmerino aran sounds great, Santa must really have been impressed with you. That sweater looks great, go for it.

Great gift-along, thank you Alison! I did 8 of 9, and I'm still working on that last one for New Year's Eve delivery. I'm so glad you had a wonderful holiday, and I love that yarn too. Have fun with it.

Thanks for hosting the gift-along. It really helped me to finish stuff!

Very cute that your boys figured out how to climb out of their cribs just in time for Christmas!

Happy New Year!

Hey Alison - I love that Paton's Must Have Cardigan. I'm planning on making one myself after the holidays using Butterfly Cotton. I've never used Debbie Bliss yarns but I can't wait to see how yours turns out.

Wow, most of our gift-a-longers did pretty good! Yay, us!

I may be doing the Must Have as well. I've loved that sweater since the first time I saw it, but haven't picked up the pattern or yarn yet.

Looks like the boys love their garage! Isn't Christmas great with the little ones around? :)

Have you considered a Crib Tent? Noel and Becky used one and liked it so much they wouldn't sleep till we'd zipped it up. It also kept the cats out of their cribs. (babies r us has them)

That cardigan is beautiful--I am so happy to hear that you got yarn for Christmas!

Thanks for the mention! The Must Have Cardigan!!! I love it! do it do it! Then I can live vicariously through you. I own the pattern and drool at it periodically!!

Well, holiday knitalong had better be over :) My last 2 tentative gifts -- well, my aunt doesn't wear scarves anymore, so that one's off the list, and the hat for my dad is just going to have to be for his birthday in 2 weeks.

It's lush, making things for people. Hooray!
