rippy, part two
Step two, remove elastic in the collar and start ripping!

Man, unravelling this yoke is a nightmare. Don't know what I did when I knitted this thing, but I've hit several snags. Really, snags. Had to pull all the yarn through a loop and then back through another and then back again. Then I had to take a break! Finally, after a late night session of tedious unlooping, I made some progress and am going to bed. Current rippy stand:

There's more ripping going on in blogland to see. Check out Larissa and Silvia's ripping updates. Carrie sent this pic of her reclaimed yarn (all that yummy Colinette!) and Monica, Ingrid, Chris and Xona have all promised pics on their blogs. Go, girls!

the week long frog-a-thon
oooh - look at all those crinkly bits of yarn, rippy ribby looks like hard work! Good luck on today's installment, I can't wait to see a huge pile of blue crinkly yarn sitting there!
sigh...I started ripping out my abominable purple sweater...but I hit a snag like you about 2 minutes in and got so frustrated that I put it back in the stash closet. H e l p!
Maybe I'll bring it and rip it out on the plane on Friday.
Or not!
Oh can I joing the rip-along too? Sadly I lost my mind and forgot to increase the length of my Tyrolean Cardigan by 2 inches. Now the *almost* completed project needs some serious ripping to increase the length.
yippee! congratulations to everyone! I started ripping my fourth project this morning... bulky smooth cotton, I don't think it will present a problem. I did find out that I weave in ends well though...
Whenever I rip out from the cast-on end I get that loopy problem you're describing.
I've officially started my rip and am posting photos at my blog. R.I.P.
Leigh - do not rip out on the plane! Really....NO! You might freak out a whole planeful of skittish passengers, and that can lead to...Knitting Terrorism!

A knitted item doesn't have to be fully knitted to qualify for the rip-along, does it? I have a top-down raglan pullover which is currently a sleeveless body and I'd love to contribute it to this venture. Count me in. That's my project for tomorrow. The sweater's only sin? It's horrible yarn (texture, fibre, and colour issues).
allison, go take a look at my progress, or beginning. i'm ripping the yarn as well as breaking it. tomorrow may be too soon to show the end result. we'll see......
