I've retired the rip-along - what a blast that was! And I continue to love, love, love my new sweater with the old yarn. Finished one more sleeve and just have the front and neck to go.
Hey, rip-alongers, let me know when you finish new projects from your ripped yarn. I wanna see! And did you all catch Carissa ripping out her St. Brigid and Leigh ripping out her Accordian last week?! Gasp!

since you asked... last Friday night I finished a pair of mittens from reclaimed turquoise handspun, to match a hat of the same. Thanks so much for the rip-along, it was great inspiration to clean up old projects, and that yarn once freed so much wanted to be made into something that now I have a lovely matching hat and mittens set!
turn me orange...i'm done!
link to a new photo album is at the knitty blog.
thanks for hosting the knitalong, alison!
I love your Banff, and I'm jealously awaiting the delivery of my last few skeins of yarn. It's been at least a week since I ordered and I'm very impatient :-)
Yay, Carrie! Bring them to Knitsmiths sometime so I can take a picture.
Amy, your Banff looks great! That's the exact same yarn I used for a baby hat last month. Really a wonderful yarn and such a lovely color. And it looks awesome on you. Congrats on finishing such a beautiful Banff!
Come on, Larissa's yarn!
Wow, you are such a speedy knitter! You know, I think you were in my dream last night. We were talking about, can you guess? Knitting!
You're speeding along on Banff. Will we be seeing modelled photos this week?
Wow, you are flying on Banff. I have the sleeves on the needles. After ripping the first inch or so of the original sleeves, they looked too wide, I am not sure I like them narrower. But, I am not sure I have enough yarn to make them wider so I will keep going. I think I will eventually make another Banff in a to be purchased yarn.
That's great you love your new sweater. It's helping me to forge ahead! Given how many projects I've ripped out, however, it's going to be a while before you see new projects from the ripped yarn. I am making progress on one though....
look at you go, go go!
Love how your banff looks in that yarn. :)
I need to ask some questions of my fellow poncho makers. I'm making the Rowan Plaid Zephyr model. and in working on the front neck shaping I'm afraid their numbers don't make sense. If you have any notes to help me figure it out I would be ever so grateful! I'm down to 31 stitches on one side. I suppose I could just wing it, but I'm not so good at that. Thanks,
Elizabeth
Your Banff is gorgeous! Hurry! I wanna see the FO...
I'm loving banff! The color is perfect for you! You have turned into the speedy gonzales of knitting! arriba arriba!!
Hi Alison,
I've been quietly enjoying your site for a while now, but the gorgeous blue of this sweater has coaxed me out of lurking, and created an overpowering lust for a Banff of my own! Is it too late to get on board with the Banff-along?
Thanks!
