pretty, pretty

Now that I've got the hang of it, I'm addicted to making these flowers! Thanks again Georgia for the pattern. You've sold me on crochet!

More loveliness arrived over the weekend in the form of these stitch markers my Secret Pal made for me. They're blue for the blue blog and there's even a froggy one to ward off too much frogging! Hee, hee. Thanks, pal!

And there are some beautiful springy things to check out in the knit-alongs as well. Have you seen Sharlene's Ballet Neck Twinset? Meredith's chic tank? Or Kristy's cardi raye in progress?

Pretty, pretty.

Love the flowers! I should be starting something springy soon, because I am finished with the vest! I'm wearing it right now. :-D I'm thinking of a lightweight sockotta sweater in the yellow/pink/lime colorway, hmmmm.... :-)
Those stitch markers are nice!

Wish I could get the hang of crochet, my hands just don't seem to work right when I try and I get all frustrated with it. Your flowers look gorgeous though, perhaps I should try again..

Your flowsies look great! I printed Georgia's pattern but I'm scared to try. I'm a crochet wimp. But you have given me hope...

Yeah flowsies, flowsies...Yours look better then mine...I need a few crochet lessons myself. Winging it only goes so far.

The froggie stitch marker to ward off frogging is such a great idea!!! Where can I get one?

I just had to frog a few rows of Licorne avec sparkle shit last night (watching tv and missed decreases), and picking the stitches back up after I had ripped to the appropriate point SUCKED!! Between the sparkle shit splitting and the Licorne splitting, I was pretty close to setting fire to the whole darn thing.

Where, oh where, is my frog prince?

Love your bouquet!

So glad you're hooked on crochet! It's popping up all over these days...

Wait a gosh darn minute. What about the cute sheepie faces in the stitch marker picture? What about them?? No ignoring the sheepies, now.

I love those crochet flowers! I really should get back into crochet; I used to crochet a lot when I was a kid, and I remember crocheting a little sweater for my Curious George toy when I was about 6.

Oh, well, maybe you'll have to teach me a little flowsie lesson myself this weekend! Hmmmm? Wanna hook together? :)
A nice surprise from your SP! How nice!

Love that you are crocheting! What are you going to do with those lovely flowers?

Posted by: Stacy at March 31, 2004 7:28 AM

I'm so addicted to making these flowers, I haven't thought yet about what I'm going to do with them. I suppose I could wear one as a little brooch on a tank or maybe a hat. But I'm not sure that I'm girly girl enough to pull that off on a regular basis. Georgia put hers on little cards. I like the idea of using them as decoration. I'd better come up with something to do with them soon! Otherwise, I'll be overrun!

Claudia, the cute sheep faces are from the funny card my secret pal sent. She's got good taste in cards, let me tell you! Thanks again, Secret Pal!

Hmmm let's see, you could use them as bows when you have little girlie gifts to wrap! Also I love how the flowers coordinate with your link colors for the spring fling, I know it is an odd thing to notice, but notice I did :)
