You go, Alison!!

Q: Does one order the ribbon for the front closure from Phildar directly?

I forgot about that when I downloaded the pattern.

That is going to be one sweet sweater when its finished.

Posted by: lisa at May 31, 2004 11:29 PM

Thanks everyone for the 'hope you get your yarn soon' thoughts! I'm so happy that it's finally here and I'm finally going to finish this sweater.

Very funny, Donna & Jenn!

Miranda, the satin band can be ordered at Phildar stores, as far as I know. If you know anyone in France, see if they can order it for
you. Or maybe some of the other women in the knitalong might know another
source. You can see the list of knitalongers at www.yarngirls.com. The Dutch site www.breiweb.nl sells kits of the yarn. And someone did
leave a comment on my site once saying that they have the satin band. So you
could check with them. They speak english, so you can write to them in
english. Their shipping to the US is steep, but if you really want it,
it's worth it! And of course, regular knit bands in the pink yarn would also look great too. And
you could add hooks & eyes to that. Good luck!

Hi, that would have been me :) Breiweb does indeed have the pink satin hook and eye tape. Love the sweater and am getting ready to start mine soon I hope. You are an inspiration to me.
