around munich

Back from Munich!

We surfed.

We rubbed the lions at the Residenzpalast for luck.

We laughed at the dirndl t-shirts being sold in preparation for Oktoberfest.

We laughed at the funny german words.
And guess what's right next door to the Suckfüll? The Wollkorb!

Oh yes, it's a yarn store!
More tomorrow....

All these photos make me miss Germany. I lived there for 6 years growing up in West Berlin and Bad Kreuznach as an Army Brat. Looking forward to more pictures of your trip!
Wow--I've never thought of knitting a pretzel before! Such inspiration!
wow... who said that time spent on the internet doesn't pay? I've been reading your blog for a while and am THRILLED that you are in Germany right now. My husband's band will be playing in Munich in October... I've already requested addi needles... So, the yarn store is next to Suckfull... shouldn't be hard for him to remember... Keep those yarn posts comin' girlie! Woo hoo...
Anxiously awaiting details...
Thank you for sahering the pictures!I miss Munich so much.
If you plan to come to Augsburg let me know!
Hi! Believe it or not: This a comment from a German blogreader living in ... MUNICH! Have fun here and be careful with the Oktoberfest beer. Besides: Suckfüll definitely is no German word and I also had to laugh. And if you need more yarn: Take a look at the wool section in "Hertie" (near Karlsplatz/Stachus). They don't have a hugh variety to choose from but sometimes interesting offers on sale. Daniela
