"people who make socks make a lot of socks"

Ain't it the truth! Read The Joy of Socks from The Boston Globe (2/24/05).

My favorite quote is:

"You spent hours making something you could buy in five minutes at Target." So true, and so insightful, because it shows how totally theraputic and soul-completing knitting can be.

That's a great article - makes me want to cast on my 60 and divide evenly, that's for sure.

I thoroughly enjoyed this article as well. It tickles me that big publications are taking notice of knitting... or maybe I'm finally taking notice that they are.

Thanks for all the sock info, I am quick becoming a sockaholic, I 've just got to get "Knit a dozen socks" I have not been with out a pair on my feet since I made my first pair, infact, I have thrown away alllllllllll my store bought socks they are so yucky to me now. Well love all the other stuff you are working on , your sweaters turn out great! Tink
