denim wash

Prewashed pinafore parts.

I finished the second side of the pinafore, sewed the shoulders together, did the edgings, and washed all the pieces without further seaming, as instructed by the pattern. The denim fabric has definitely changed after washing. The stitches are tighter and the color has faded ever so slightly. It's not really become lighter, but it's like the edge has been taken off of that perfectly deep blue. It's a really cool effect.

Now to sew down those picot edgings...

Love that denim. Do post a pic of her wearing it. I think it'll look real sweet. I saw some denim yarn at my LYS and was 2 minds about it. That just decided me.

Denim?! Yummy...I'd love to get hold of some denim yarn to knit up. I wear my jeans all the time even to work everyday so I definitely need some of that yarn.
