the blue blog archives: the third circle of sleeve hell

We left our giant white bread retro-striped vintage-styled sweater looking like this, with one sleeve in and a whole mess of ends hanging out. Now she looks like this:

Just the collar and she's done! You know, this trip through sleeve hell hasn't been too bad so far.

Now I have to worry about my seaming on that baby top with a zillion ends when the front pieces and the sleeves are done...:P

I love the colors of this sweater. Are you going to pick up stitches for the collar or sew it on? I'm having trouble with a collar for a summer knit, so bad, I feel like ripping the d@mn thing out. :)

You better add a knock on wood to that last statement. Wouldn't want the knit gods to think you're getting cocky. I'm loving the sweater. And you still have plenty of time to wear it this year :)

How funny that we both rediscovered our stripey sweaters at the same time. Remember last spring when you started white bread I told you I had started a stripey sweater that I thought you'd like?
