Like many of you, Gina is still knitting. She needs some support to finish. Go cheer her on. And all the others out there who are finishing as fast as they can!

And several pals wrote to tell me that they have already received their socks (check 'em out: Diane, Anna, Kim, Erika, Jenny (detail), Nina, and Marie-France). Have you? Give your pal a shout out in the comments!

I sent my sock pal package out late last week after we arrived, complete with a local postcards from home and from here and some of that fabulous German sock yarn from Ewa's Sockenwolle. Hope you like everything, sockpal!

These are all the updates I had before I left for Berlin. The rest will have to wait until I get back. Thanks for keeping me updated though! I´m so glad to see that everyone is finishing!

Drum Roll PLEEEEZZZEEEE!!! The socks are finished!
Katherine, the socks will go in the mail today!
I confess to bribing one of my knit pals to finish them. Remember me, the heel was a HUGE deal and I just couldnt get past it, so my knit friend "other" Carol who is a pro knitter finished them for me. Her payoff was selection from my stash and worth every penny! Anyway, I was so thrilled to receive my socks from Heather, that I had to get these in the mail! So Katherine they are headed your way!

My socks are here! I had the privilege of receiving the first Socakpal2za socks completed, from the lovely Angela, and I was singing the "happy feet" song (complete with Kermit the Frog voice) before I even put them on. They're gorgeous and fit really well, including the nifty fold-over cuff, which I love.

The socks I mailed to my pal Miranda made it there, according to the postal service, but I haven't gotten confirmation from her yet. Hopefully everything is OK on that front and I didn't send to the wrong address or something.

Posted by: Tonia at September 22, 2005 1:19 PM
