waiting

Well, I'm still sitting around in my pajamas.

I was catching up on email and hoping, hoping, hoping that my shoes for the Knitty Gritty knit boot project would arrive. But no mail delivery yet. Once I have the shoes, I've got a trip to the yarn store planned to buy some yarn and another pack of dpn's. And then, oh boy, oh boy, there's the marking, and then the drilling, heh, heh, and all that funky knitting, woo hoo! I am WAY too excited about these boots.

But apparently I will have to wait a little longer. Guess I'll have to get myself and the kids dressed today after all.

I'm watching with anticipation. I find knitting shoes completely amazing, but alas its nothing I would ever wear. Knit birkenstocks, now thats my style ;)
BTW, who needs to get dressed? Me and my boys are still in jammies, and we'll probably stay that way!

are we all playing the waiting game today? i'm (impatiently) waiting for magknits. i'd still be in pj's, too if I hadn't had to bring the boys to school.

here's to hoping both our waiting ends soon!

Can I join in? When you first announced this knitalong it looked like fun, but I had no drill. But my husband got one for Christmas, so now I'm all ready to go!

Character shoes take me right back ... I've worn many a pair in my day.

A project in which you get to combine yarn and power tools. This is going to be fun to watch!

ooooo - i'll be getting to the store today. i've got to get some shoes for this! i'm excited as heck to make these!!

so jealous. with Christmas and the following 10 birthdays in the next month and a half, I'm a little too cash strapped to participate.

I'm in my jammies too. The children are too :) I would love to try those shoes. They look fun. I just made my first sock so I will get a few more of those under my belt before I tackle the shoes.

I really wasn't all that into the project when I first saw it, but hearing you so excited makes me want to join in. Plus those shoes are just perfect! What color are you going to use?

I'm going to be a voyeur on this one, too. The project looks really interesting, but nothing I would probably wear, either.

I can relate Alison. I'm in a waiting game for my Bea Ellis Traditional Hat kit! Hope the shoes arrive tomorrow!

I've absolutely no interest in wearing or making these, but look forward to seeing you do it!

I found a dance store near me that carries the shoes, so this weekend I hope to have mine. And then I'm all ready for the power tool. Yippee!!

Heh heh heh. I hope you were able to get dressed today. ;-) I admire your ambition for tackling the shoes. I can't say I'd have the confidence in my knitting/crafting skillz. Do post progress pics!

I'm not interested in wearing or making these either, but again, i'll enjoy watching your progress. i'm not really up for the challenge!

just wait till the boys hear knitting involves power tools... will be watching closely as this one moves on. It's going to be pretty cool to watch!

Um... but these are shoes to be used for ... walking? dancing? setting them on a coffee table as a conversation piece?
Are you knitting over the shoe or are you going to attach the knitting to the edge through the drilled holes?

I'd probably do knit boots to lounge at home. Slippers with legwarmers attached, so the breeze doesnt run up my pant leg :P

I got an email today from amazon, it seems their shoes are on sale...
