No idea what kind of socks Angela is making, but look at the cake on her blog!
Anna has started some socks that are CRAZY cool. Seriously, you gotta see them!

Dani has narrowed down her choices to 2 or 3 possible patterns for her sock pal who asked for something simple but sporty. She’ll be making her final pattern choice by Sunday night so she can buy her yarn and get started. She can’t wait!
Kristina dropped me a line this week to let me know she started her socks. She had narrowed her choices down to two IK faves—Retro Rib or Diagonal Rib (free pattern online) but after swatching, went with the RR. She’s using some very yummy Cherry Tree Hill in the “Green Mountain Madness” coulourway (a gift from her husband). Check out the pics!
Sock sister, Mary, reports on the beginners:
Kim sent in the picture of the start of her sock. She's using an organic cotton.
Spinsterbat has been buying up some very nice sock yarns, although we don't know yet which one is for Sockapaloooza.

love the colour of your yarn, wished I was your sock pal!
Ooh, Alison, I love that Koigu. That colorway might have to be my "I finished my sockapaloooza socks!" reward to myself.
I can't believe it's been so long since I bought Koigu that they've changed their label design - I feel so...so...vintage! :)
That Koigu is gorgeous. I loooove the colorway. It's so blue and dreamy.
The Koigu looks really lovely.
My goodness I hope you get the update ready to put into your blog with all the html-codes ;-) Looks like a lot of work and we really appreciate it.
Best wishes from Germany
Petra
I am one of the beginners who is daunted even with taking the first step of choosing sock yarn. I would like to knit something soft for my pal - does anyone have a recommendation for softer sock yarn?
Thanks for the yarn tip! I've only done socks in fingering/sock weight yarn until now, so I'm excited to knit some on larger needles.
WOW! I love that Koigu colorway you picked out! I'm almost done with my second sock for my pal.. I'll be doen in the next day or two I'll post a picture of the finished pair! There soo soft!
I love the colorway. I'm almost jealous of those who are already casting on. But the Knitting Olympic loom, so my pal's socks will be next in the queue.
Nice delegation. That was a great idea.
I love the yarn you've chosen!
Thanks for working your butt off for all of the crazy sock knitters out there!!!!
I she my update in by the weekend but it was not posted.
You, and the sock sisters, are amazing! HOW ARE WE GOING TO FIND THE TIME TO CHECK OUT ALL THOSE LINKS EVERY WEEK THIS TIME AROUND????
I am so excited about who I'm knitting for this time. It seems uncanny! Were we really matched up randomly?
I was in Sockapalooza and Sockapal2za but missed the party this time. Have fun everyone and I look forward to watching your progress!!
Ooo, yummy colors! your pal wouldn't happen to be me, would it???
looking good. say Alison, do you know Ballamory...your sock yarn reminds me of that show. I'd love to knit a sweater like the teacher Miss Holie has in balamory...she's got me thinking in green...any idea of a fitting yarn, with that type of striping?
Oh, it was so fun to click around and see the beginning steps other people are going through, just like me! I kept saying, "I wonder if that yarn will make socks for me." Thanks for being committed to posting all these weekly updates, Alison. I'm sure this takes a lot of your time, even with the help of the sock sisters.
oh my, i feel so behind already!
That is a gorgeous Koigu colorway. That's the type of color I would pick for my own special socks!
I love the colour you picked! It is the perfect colourway for spring.
soo ummm.. when is the next sockapaloooza so I can join??!
