keep left
Since I really should keep knitting continental and rest my still twinging right hand, I've tossed my two current projects in the unfinished works pile for now (good thing too, since hubby's zip raglan and my jinxed cork sweater were giving me nightmares anyway). With the dead weight projects ditched, I figure I'm free to start something new and fabulous. I mean, the monogram baby sweater is already awaiting finishing and I need a break from the glisten cardi and its tangly ribbon yarn. Soooooooo, you see, I really have no other choice than to start knitting the hot pink synchronicity yarn I got last weekend at Purl!
We only found eight skeins in the rich berry colorway that caught our fancy and eight of these wee little skeins ain't a whole heck of a lot. I feel confident that it'll be enough to cover me without being indecent, but it won't stretch for a full-length, long-sleeve sweater. I'm hoping it might just be enough for this t-shirt sweater from Ella Rae Book One. Wide neck, three-quarter sleeves, cropped length - that's awesome yarn-skimping styling! And look at how gorgeous it's knitting up!

ooooh, I wish you could feel this
The synchronicity is just as delightful to knit with as I'd imagined. And I'm right on gauge knitting continental (yes, I swatched - that's like twice in a week!).

mmmmm, waist shaping - more yarn saved!
I'm totally psyched about this project. The only probelm: now I'm gonna have that dang Police song in my head forever.

synchronicity
The pink yarn is just luscious, like a pack of bubble gum. Synchronicity 1 or 2?? Now I have Synch 1 stuck in my head!
It's an awesome yarn. I've used 8 skeins for a l-s turtleneck for myself. I'm much shorter than you, but I think that's a good sign you'll be okay.
I take that last comment back. After looking through your finished projects over the years (amazing how the boys have grown), you really do reach to all ends of the color spectrum. There really is something so rich about that color pink that it just draws me in. It must be firing off all kinds of neurons or something. Gorgeous!
i can vouch for alison...i actually witnessed her swatching last night. she's not messing around with this precious yarn. hey alison, i don't think i've ever seen a typo on your blog, until today...what's the probelm?
Yummy! It makes me want to knit something pink!
mygomi of http://twoleftneedles.com just finished this sweater!
What probelm, Lisa? There's no probelm. You got a probelm?! ;0)
Thanks, Pixie! Yup, just finished it, though I made mods to the entire thing. It didn't take much yarn, only 3 skeins of Malabrigo, but I did cut out a couple inches of ease. It knits up pretty fast. Your pink is gorgeous, so vibrant.
No yarn is worth having Sting in your head...argh! That pink is beautiful, I am covetous. Hope the hand is getting better.
I'm having SERIOUS tingling, and numbness in both hands (mostly the right one) so I haven't been able to knit much lately. What is working for you? I haven't seen a doctor about it (I'm ignoring it as I'm affraid they'll forbid knitting -typing I need for work-)
Yay for Continental knitting! Much, much more comfortable for the wrists, especially when the weather changes (wait, is that only me?).
Knitters,
I know that this is an unpopular idea, but if your hands hurt, you should give them a rest. Don't cripple yourself! You should care for them as you would a cherished pair of Addi Turbos (if not better).
Oooh, if it feels anything like it looks, it must be yummy!
Hope your hand gets better soon.

I finished a Hermione hat. I must be in a Harry Potter mood.
:)
droooooooool. v. jealous that you get to knit with such a gorgeous yarn - I know it will turn out awesome! Careful with that wrist - it can fight you for a long time. I've had good results with heating pads or heat patches at night when mine acts up.
