seaming the beast and singing its praises

No, I haven't finished the second front of the glisten cardi yet, but I decided to give my hands a rest (jumping back and forth between two projects on the same needle isn't really much variation) and see if I couldn't get started on the seaming.

don't you just love mattress stitch?

With this ribbon yarn and it's snags and twists, I was worried that the seaming would be a bear, but not so far. It's actually coming together rather quickly and rather easily. Phew. Can I change my tune on this yarn?

Who can turn the world on with her smile?
Who can take a nothing day, and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile?
Well it's you, yarn, and you should know it
With each glance and every little movement you show it

Love is all around, no need to waste it....
You're gonna make it after all!

couldn't you have at least put a photo with you throwing your hat in the air?

Maybe I'll snap a picture of my throwing the cardi when I'm all done. How 'bout that? ;0)

Throwing the cardi works for me. ;)

Don't you just hate when you have to retract a previous opinion about a yarn you're working with?

it's refreshing to have the seaming part of a project be one of the more positive steps! it's at least for me a rarity to actually enjoy finishing... :) glisten on...

You know, Oprah's a big MTM fan -- she even did a spoof of the show opening with herself as Mary, throwing her hat in the air. Was kinda cute.

"Mare" might even wear such a cute sweater!

You've been knitting too much...

Actually, I do love matress stitch. It feels just like doing up a zip when I tighten the stitches. And look ma! the seam disappears!

LOVE IT.
