There was just way too much good sports on tv yesterday for me to get myself over to the computer and blog! First, I watched Wimbledon (we know I love watching Wimbledon). I tried explaining the game to the boys and to their credit they really watched and cheered with me for about an hour. ("Go Fed!") Then they went off to practice their penalty kicks in preparation for yesterday's World Cup final.

Oh my goodness! Part of the reason I didn't make it to Knitsmiths (for the first time) was that I was pretty wrapped up in watching Federer-Nadal, Italy-France and that 19 inning marathon! I guess 2 out of 3 positive outcomes are not bad. ;-)
That was an ugly end to the game, wasn't it? I was so mad -- I really wanted to like that Zidane guy, and then he had to go and do *that*. Can't wait to see how Baby Geek turns out...
Way too much sports. I didn't go out much, either. So happy that Federer won! The Red Sox game was interminable -- you know it's bad when you're relieved that someone, even the opposing team, gets a run so the game will end!
Football BABY, I can hardly wait. I Love that blue!
Add in some Tour de France coverage, as insisted on by my BIL, and that was my day too! All sports all the time. I love it!
It was so sad, and i felt so sorry for Zidane. I'm french, and all i can say is that he seems to be a good guy - i'm not a fan of football, but he's always very nice when seen on interviews, and involved in charities and always behaving well, but yesterday from the beginning, they were harassing him. The italian player must have insulted him with some sort of racist names for him to come out of bounds. I was sad for him, but didn't regret France did not win, at least they didn't use such dirty tricks...
*sniffle* Is there going to be another Sockapalooza soon?? I just learned to knit socks (just so I could participate in Sockapalooza!!). Any idea when the next one will be?? :(
Wow did those people ever get their money's worth at that baseball game!
Pretty nasty soccer game it turned out to be hey?
Can't wait to see the Baby Geek sweater when it is done.
Where did you get the pattern for that blue baby sweater? I'd love to know - thanks!
Very good reading. Peace until next time.
