the good geese vs. the bad geese

Young (this year's block of the month) versus old (last year's block of the month). Right (proper 1/4" seams) versus wrong (erroneous 3/8" seams). It's an epic battle. Of geese.

ooh all this math is getting to this stuffy head! But check out: http://pinkchalkstudio.com/blog/2008/01/31/the-angler-2/

I thought of this post when you first showed your geese the other day. I don't think it would have helped the math - but may be of good use if you don't have one already.

The pressed seams even look like geese beaks open for their epic battle honks!

I'm a new quilter too and am in a block-a-month at my LQS. Our block this month is flying geese and she gave us a sheet with a different way to make them. Here's the link to a picture. If you're interested, e-mail me and I can send you the photocopy of the instructions that you see on the board.
