They had 17 little friends join them for swimming, pizza and cake. So now we've got about 17 cool presents to play with all day, every day. Yesterday it was Monopoly.
I had forgotten what a long game Monopoly was! By the time wee one's nap was over, I'd totally missed my chance to blog. But I did own Fenway Park and Times Square (the new dark blue properties on the board). I've been taking pictures of the boys as they play with each of their new toys so we can make goofy thank you cards to send to their friends.
Tomorrow, back to knitting....

That's a very clever idea for thank you notes!
That's a great idea for the thank you cards! But, when do you ever sleep?!
Great pictures I can't believe how big the boys are getting. I love your idea for your thank you notes.
Happy belated birthday boys. Looks like they had a lot of fun. ~ksp
What a clever idea for thank you cards! Happy belated Birthday to the boys
Great idea for thank you cards. Those look like really neat toys - I think I'd like to play with them. We had my grandsons for the weekend the weekend before last & we introduced them to the fun of water gun fights (my ex & I used to have epic battles with the girls when they were little on hot, muggy Chicago summer days - sounds like you're getting our summer weather this year - we've been extraordinarily lucky - only one 90° day so far).
Happy birthday to your boys! :)
Ahhh.. American Monopoly!!!! We have Mayfair and Park Lane!!!....(dark blue) and the green ones are ummmmm Regent Street and ummmmmmm its a while since I played!!!! Happy Birthday boys.x
In the interest of parent sanity, we set a timer for a "Mini-Monopoly" and whoever is weathiest when the timer rings is the winner!
What a great idea for the thank you cards! I will have to try that with my boys.
Those thank you cards are amazing. What a great idea!
Though reading you since the boys were born, I got surprised for a fraction of second that they have their birthday on the same day... Duh! Let's just say the heat fried my brain.
They really have grown a lot !
Here with Monopoly, you can build hotels on the Champs Elysées or Rue de la Paix...
A new version was launched recently with french towns, and a public vote was organized to choose the 22 towns who would have the privilege to appear on the game board. Someone jokingly proposed the town of Montcuq (pronounced like "mon c*ul = my a*ss"), and this proposition was widely followed. Montcuq was in fact the winner, but the game editor refused to follow the choice of the voters and placed the second, Dunkerque in its place.
Happy Birthday to your boys.
Gil loves Monopoly, he loves buying the train stations but b/c it takes long to set up and long to play...which just don't play it much...[slap my forehead]
