still cutting

shaaaark!
After a whole night of cutting, I've got all the black pieces of the Halloween costumes cut out. (That was five yards of black fabric!) That means B's batman jumpsuit is all cut out, along with the backside of S's shark (including the fun fin!). It's only half the shark, but man, can you ever tell what it's supposed to be. Tonight it's shark belly, teeth and mouth.
Duh - nuh, dun - nuh, duh - nuh....

I'm trying to think of a good "LandShark!" joke from SNL but I'm too tired..... Can't wait to see it :)
Oh yeah, Land Shark!!!!! He should hold a box of candy and ring the doorbell saying "Candygram"!
(but then to bring a box of candy along trick or treating would be kind of silly, wouldn't it?)
My oldest & youngest gran are being sharks for Halloween but the middle child decided he didn't want to follow the under the sea theme & is going to be a dragon. I'm making wings out of shimmery silver fabric to add to the dinosaur costume I m made for his big brother last year. And I found an OOP pattern for a shark costume on ebay for big brother's costume. Fortunately my daughter found a cute cute shark costume online for the baby. She is with her husband in the Bay area looking fr houses to rent since he received a promotion which requires him to move ther & we are at her house watching the 3 grands. I had thought to bring my sewing stuff & try to at least get the costume cut out but then I remembered how much time & attention the 3 of them require & decided against it.
I love Halloween. It's still my favorite holiday, and I love seeing your costumes each year. The shark looks great!
I love reading your blog. But, I have one question, when you are sewing for twins. Do you make one costume first and finish or do you sew on both of them? I raised a set of twins, boy and girl, so it may have been easier on me. You are one busy mom. Keep up all the great projects!
