where are they now: sally

I made Sally (a Knitted Babe ) for wee one last February for her first birthday, along with two little outfits for Sally to wear. Sadly, Sally was neglected for many months. But when wee one received a Haba Lilli doll from Oma and Opa this Christmas, I realized that Lilli's clothes fit Sally and some of Sally's clothes fit Lilli. Wee one had so far only been interested in removing their clothes, so I tossed their little clothes together in a bag next to them. Today, she found it and decided to dress them.

She insisted that the pink and white striped dress was a hat, so I popped the bodice part to the inside and slipped it on Sally like that. She had me put Lilli's overdress over Sally's dress and Sally's undies on Lilli.

She was so proud of her creations, she wanted to be in the picture with them.

Such a girl!

where are they now?
I absolutely love the collection of necklaces in this photo!!! I hope that if I have a daughter she likes to adorn herself like this. It's so cute!
Popping out of lurkdom just to say how much I love these photos! It's something to look forward to with my one little one.
Look at that sweet smile! I could eat her. (A southern saying that means she's so sweet she seems edible.)
Such a cutie pie! Love the way she decided to dress the dolls. And that pleased smile on her face just says it all! Makes me realize how much I miss Baby M (who still refers the spare bed in her room as "Grandma's bed" & now has started referring to the front passenger seat in their minivan as "Grandma's seat." She has even insisted that Mommy call me so she can talk to me - we leave to visit on St Pat's Day - can't wait!)
How sweet! She is obviously very smart and very style oriented :)
Forgot to say that IMHO the dress looks very cute as a hat also - Wee One has a good eye!
Aw, what a sweet picture of wee one!
They grow so fast - wasn't she a newborn last week? What a peach! All that and brains, too. Good job, mom!
Wee One is so cute! I like all of the little necklaces she's wearing. :-)
It's fun, isn't it, playing dolls with one's daughter. Dads can play, too! Some of my favorite memories involve watching my husband patiently wrestle Barbie into her skinny little tights for our daughters whose fingers couldn't manage that yet. Warning #1 - little girls receive Barbies from other little girls as gifts, even if you, yourself, haven't purchased any. Warning #2 - pointy Barbie shoes are just as painful to step on with bare feet in the dark as Lego pieces.
Wee one = CUTEST BABY (toddler?)!!!!
LOL. look at all those necklaces!!!
Aaaawwww. Love the necklaces. I remember my delight when my daughter finally started being interested in dolls. It was all duplo all the time before that. I'm glad your knitting is getting its due love.
