a new knitalong of some old favorites

Oooh, don't you just love that soft fluffy angora and that pretty, pretty shade of peach?! This lovely little skein of Lush will become a Hermione Cable & Eyelet Hat for the first knitalong project of the Harry Potter Crafters Group on Ravelry. The group is knitting the Hermione Cable & Bobble Hat & Mittens from my book, Charmed Knits. But for those who have already knit that hat, like me, or who don't have the book, or just like the new hat better, we're including this pattern in our little Hermione knitalong. It looks like a pretty hat and I'm excited to try out the pattern. We're planning a whole year of knitalong projects, possibly including a funny swap and a surprise project. What fun!

I had wonderful success turning the cable and bobble pattern chart into a scarf for the Ravelympics (and finished in time too)! Thanks for the tip about the knit-a-long, it sounds like fun :-)

Cool, Lauren! I had always thought about making a matching scarf. I'll have to look yours up to see how it came out...

I'd love to join and make my first Christmas present. We have small heads in my family.

Such a lovely color - it looks like orange sherbet!

I agree with Chris - looks good enoughto eat. I have a small bin of thqt yarn - bought it as a kit with the booklet for a lovely striped sweater. But I know I have more than needed - maybe I'll try one.

OOOh, guess who has about 4 balls of this in her stash? Not in peach, but other colors.

Picked it up last year in a clearance bin for about $3.00 a ball!

I made a white baptism hat and booties from some of it for my niece/God-daughter and then made the umbrella hat (One Skein) and some booties from a rose color.

I have some purple and some green left.

Mmmm. Angora. Sadly, I'm too allergic to even knit it, let alone wear it. It looks so soft and is such a lovely color though.

I never thought it was PEACH...to me it's like Salmon and I SIMPLY love that color.
