v 2.3

My Malabrigo beret, second version, third try. I still don't know what exactly went wrong with my first attempts to make a replacement for my lost hat. I am equally clueless about what might be so different about this third try, but, for whatever reason, I'm getting a good feeling about this one. It even feels like my old hat in my hands, on the needles. So I'm knitting away, daydreaming about Goldilocks: 'this one is just right.'

I hope it's not just a fairy tale. I don't want to make v 2.4.

Nice hat.
I don't mean to burst anything, but why did this post to your Archives, instead of the usual place?

Looks purty. Makes me want to haul out some Malabrigo just for the pure sensual pleasure of knitting with it. But I have to work on the lapghan I promised my oldest grand - doubled Encore worsted size 11 needles, my own pattern in a pale blue. I had planned on making the 3 of them rag quilts for Xmas (their house in Palo Alto is chillier than you would believe!) for cuddling up to read or watch videos but he wanted a knitted one. His mother still has the afghan I knit for her when she went off to college & he has always loved to cuddle with her (or me) under it.

Hmmm, Liz, I don't know what you mean precisely. It's on my main page on my computer. Wonder why you're seeing something different??
