new year's pajamas

Wee's Oliver & S bedtime story pajamas were finished in time for her to wear to bed last night, making them not only her offical new year's pajamas but the cutest pjs she's ever worn!

These sewed up quickly (it certainly seemed quick after making the bubble dress!). The pants were super fast, even with the contrast cuffs, and the kimono-style top was way easier than I had feared.

Wee, who hates trying anything on, was like a different kid when I was finishing these, coming to watch me sew the final seams and jumping for joy when it was time to put them on. She loves the tiny little Olivias all over the fabric and will spend whole minutes staring at her top to find Olivia on her scooter or Olivia wearing her tutu.

The size 4 fits her perfectly: an elastic waistband and pant legs you can cut to the right length make them easy to sew to fit; and while the top is a little roomy, the length is just right for my little giant.

And so that completes my holiday crafting. Only one week late (although I'm not sure my in-laws have even received theirs yet). Here's wishing everyone a happy new year full of health, happiness, and successful projects, both crafty and otherwise!

Those may be the cutest pj's ever!!!! I think I'll have to get that pattern. I was supposed to make pjs for the 3 grands but unfortunately fell ill & spent 8 days in the hospital having 2 surgeries. I guess I'll make them for next winter.

Do they make these in mommy sizes?
They are the cutest pj's ever! and Wee looks delightful in them.
Happy New Year!

Alison--I was wondering if you could offer some advice to a mom of 2 boys a bit younger than yours...mine are 3 and 5. Christmas brought us a ton of LEGOS and I'm going crazy stepping on them (it's only been a week!)

Can you "flash your stash" of LEGOS?? How do your boys store them? Do you just dump them into plastic containers or do they keep them all separated by project (don't say yes, because I already threw out all the boxes they came in!).

I know that this holiday was just the beginning of my journey down LEGO lane!

Thanks!
Sonja

hi,
i have made these in several sizes...love them too. did you do the ties for insidekimono as instructed? my 4yearold doesnt like that he cant take it on and off himself. i have wondered of how to modify. if i did a magnet thing or a snap it would be too cold but he could do it himself. kids just cant tie and untie under the arm any suggestions? hows your kid going with it?

Hi Angelina! Don't worry about the duplicate posts; I deleted them.

I did do the kimono ties as instructed. I was worried about how long the ties were. I thought my daughter would be annoyed by them but she wasn't. I think a snap would be great. Why would it be too cold? You could cover the backside of the snap with a patch of fabric so it wouldn't touch his skin.

Still love them though!
