1/6th of a pokeball, 1/2 of a hula girl - can you tell I'm taking a math class?

After a full weekend of classes (Friday 5-9, Saturday & Sunday 8-4), I've returned home to find laundry and Halloween costumes waiting for me. Here's where I left the costumes before I had to stop to work on a large project for my Teaching Elementary Mathematics class.

One sixth of a pokeball and one half of a hula girl. Math is everywhere!

So, if it took me one week to sew one sixth of a pokeball and one half of a hula girl, how long will it take me to sew the rest? What if I sewed twice as fast? And how long before I start Mr. Six's cummerbund and bow tie? What if I procrastinated twice as much?

Answers are due by Saturday when wee one has a Halloween party to go to. If she can't go as a hula girl, she can go as a math problem!

Are you changing careers? You would be a fantastic teacher (you already are--- I've learned so much from you).

The BIG question is: Will wee one be willing to go as a math problem?

I admire your return to school with young kids. I did the same thing but three had already graduated and the two at home were in high school. That was challenging enough! I also took a course in teaching elementary math - really enjoyed it. Good luck with your studies.

Good point, Cindy. How about a math problem in a grass skirt? ;0)

Hehe - she looks so amused at the part-Pokeball, but SO FORLORN at the half-hula skirt. She has her priorities. ;-)

Hey, I know the answer to this one! It's called a stapler!
