hot, hot, not
Peter's joking mention of "soft girly porn" in his comment to Monday's parade of tank tops reminded me of something going on here at the blue blog that I like to call "the hottie phenomenon".
Remember my hotties from a few months ago? Well, I get a lot of hits related to them, most from people searching for hot water bottle cover patterns. The majority find me through Google, some from a Knitters Review thread about hip knitted hot water bottle cosies and a few from a post at der kleine Sockhaus back in January. I had no idea that so many people were interested in making these things!
The funny thing is that I also get hits from people just searching for hotties. I've even had several search for "texas hotties" (I posted that my great-aunts, for whom I made the hotties, live in Texas). Now, I'm pretty sure that hand knitted hot water bottle covers is not what these people were hoping to find from their Google search. Heh, heh. Well after this post, I'll be sure to be moving up on the Google results list!

hotties
Maybe I should write about my sexy socks to see if I can improve my Google standing. Do you think it would work. I meant to write yesterday and ask where I could find the pattern you showed then. The little green thing. Looks perfect for this time of year. Is it a Jaeger?
Oh man. Hotties over at the blue blog. Yee haw. Too funny, Alison! Pagan, Rebecca #24 halter, and Maggie all get my vote. Very pretty. Oh that funny Peter and his "soft porn girly" remark. He's just jealous. I think. ;)
[big grin] Fess up, you're just an attention seeker. Blue blog & Texan Hotties. Have a look at the buttons, they are in the right place for pasties. No wonder those boys are always helping mommy with big smiley faces. Trucks indeed!!!
Because of the stirrup covers that I knit for my GYN table at work, I have gotten emails from OB/GYNs who did a google search looking to buy covers (sorry NFS)!
Pasties, huh? At least I didn't propose making this sweater!
thanks for the comment alison!! i'm going to use Cotton Ease in white or red (or both). Sitcom Chic I did in orange. very bright. ((ASC = 99 yds/ball and CE = 207 yds/skein. 3 skeins @ $3.84 versus 6 balls @ $8)). mine was purely a financial decision LOL!
Thanks for that Alison. That was one of the funniest pics in a long time. Tell me: do you think the designer has a wicked sense of humour or is just plain dumb.
