Tank Sighting! I think Tank Girl needs to know aboutthe new book I picked up yesterday... it's called Basically Brilliant Knits by Melissa Mathay and Sheryl Thies. The frist section is called Tons of Tanks and contains a bunch of really nice tank patterns... I'm already planning to make the Flora Tank which has a really unususal draped neckline.

Meanwhile Smooch Take Two - the Re-Knit continues. Front is done and I just switched to the size 8 needles on the back.

Wait! Is that the white tank you were working on last Sunday, with a red top & sleeves?!? If so, I guess white REALLY wasn't jazzy enough for ya...
Looks great!

Nah, that's my very first "tank" of the season that I finished in April. Check out the tank girl archives for a reminder.

Happy Birthday Tank Girl !!!

Tank Girl, Aha! So it is your birthday??? Happy Birthday to you...
I ordered Chickami yesterday and am looking for yarn tomorrow. Sign me up. I am almost finished with Smooch. The yarn Becky sent, for Wannabe, arrived yesterday -so I am set for the next 3 weeks while I am in Wisconsin on vacation. I figured while I am in the land of heat why not do another tank.
Have a nice day.

Happy Birthday Alison.

Happy birthday, Alison! By the way, I've let Gina know I'll knit along with the ChicKami group, so you can add my name to the list. Thanks! (Ack! My first grown-up-sized top...)

Happy Birthday! Hope you had three servant-boys yesterday...;-)

I'm glad you didn't bail on the all-white tank. That will look cool (in more ways than one) when its done.

ShoutOut: what a wonderful top - I've been wanting to try this one out. Very flattering & fresh. And of course, patriotic! Beautiful...

Regarding Melissa Mathay, who owns the Knitting Tree, in Madison, Wisconsin, and is one of the authors of that new book mentioned:

Check out her output here:

I don't know which one of these *might* be included in the book, but what a talented woman!

What a diehard I am that I can lust after knitting in 90degree thunderstorm weather...

Hey, Tank Girl! Great Sweater! and Belated Happy Independence Day! Up here in the Great White North, The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth (Calgary Stampede) opened yesterday with US Troopers on horseback prominently recognized. I'm glad we're friends...you know, those who know all your faults and love you anyway? Well, Uncle Sam and Johhny Canuck are like that. Way to tank!
