this is your machine.

This is your machine on steeks.

Any questions?

Yeah, still on sewing hiatus, but I did rev up the Bernina this weekend to do the steeks on the ladybug sweater. Like my pretty little stitches? Snip, snip and ready for sleeves!

So watch out - the finishing frenzy is back on. I've got a load of finishing to do and there will be no cheating and starting new projects this time, because I've got a sore knitting hand. Due to a little too much knitting, a little too much stroller pushing and way too much across the table cup holding for toddlers ever so anxious to use the 'beeeeg kupp'. Get those party hats back on, the finishing fiesta is coming this way.

Your boys really are lovely.I love it when they get serious about stuff !Especially the 'I can do it' stuff.
The bugs are looking fab.
Happy finishing. ;-]

My daughter drinks her juice the same way. We try to get her to drink with the sippy top on the bottle, but she'll have none of it.

That is one serious sewing machine you have there! Puts my Elna to shame. :) Hate to break it to you, but you'll be holding those cups for years. Especially when you eat out. For some odd reason, waiters love giving kids tall skinny glasses with straws. And for some odd reason, kids can never remember to hold the bottom of their glass when they go for the straw. Finish on, lady A. That bug sweater is just the cutest (and those tiny stitches are gorgeous).

I've never been brave enough to steek - I'm proud of anyone who has the courage!

Yes - please add me to the poncho-along. I've been tempted!

You are smart to take care of your knitting hand. I want a picture of you cutting into the sweater, just to freak out Kerrie...;-)

Ah... the "beeg kuup".... Diva is three and is now a "big girl" because she can hold her cup with one hand... Aren't toddlers the greatest?!?

I haven't started on my poncho yet... Is there a cutoff date? I have been in baby sweater heaven with three babies on the way in February (all from my hubby's work in some way or another)! Love the ladybugs (I think that will be for Diva)!

Ha, ha, Claudia! I didn't take any photos of the actual cutting, but, Kerrie, if you wanna see cutting, check out the pics I took when I steeked the vw beetle sweater here!

Hey Rose, no rush on the poncho. The ponch-o-long will stay in the sidebar through the fall. Keep us posted!

I love your bug sweaters (the lady bug and the bettle). Your online demonstration of steeking is picture perfect too!

Maybe someday, I'll try steeking....
