enter hats
The new project parade continues with more hats. Christmas hats and chemo caps. Whatever I can make in the next few weeks. I'm teaching a beginning knitting class now, where we are supposed to make a hat in three weeks, so we'll see what I can accomplish hat-wise while helping the new knitters through the basics. Hats on my list to make include another calmer lace cap and then a couple more kids' chemo caps.
Here's my start on the first chemo cap. I'm imagining this one to be for a hip little dude in need of a phat hat.

Yay - hats! I love to knit hats, the pattern for the calmer hat was loads of fun to make.
More hats! I admire all this work you're doing, and your lovely hats will be much appreciated, I'm sure.
(Still teaching? Lucky students!)
I've just discovered your entertaining and informative blog. You are a very talented knitter!! Can I join the phildar fillies? If so, where can I order patterns and yarns? I know I haven't seen any in my very few LYS's. I'm in Utah, and have only 3 LYS's within a two hour drive.
I love, love this book: http://www.phildar.fr/fr/p_collection/fat/397_irlandais/02_03.ASP

Alison, I got the hat bug today. A Bucket for me. I'm thinking freezing my ears off today had something to do with it....;-)
Alison, where can I get the calmer lace cap pattern? My granddaughter would just love to have one.
Thank you for your help in the past. You are an inspiration to me.
