fandangstop
Sorry to say it, but my mom's fandango vest has turned into a fandang-stop. I finished the first of the front panels a while back and proudly showed it to mom,

only to discover that it's too short. So it'll have to be ripped back to the armholes. Although I didn't mind working with the Fandango yarn -- it is a large gauge at least -- there's a lot of knitting still to go on this one and the idea of going backwards instead of forwards is discouraging. Which means that I just haven't felt like picking it up for a while. I hate having unfinished projects lying around, but I think I'll put this one on the back burner at least until all my holiday knits are done.
Gotta go find a new present for mom....
(You can tell I took this picture a while ago, 'cause now my porch looks like this!)

Sorry to hear that Fandango is fandangling. No time for ripping!
I was wondering about the porch there. I thought you were just some pretty fine shovelers!
:)
i am dying of JEALOUSY. no no not over the fandango...over the SNOW!!! can you put some in a box and send it to chicago please? merci!
Sorry about Fandango, I love the colors though. By the way I have completed 3 more gifts. Still too many to go and too little time!
Well, when you DO get it finished, that is going to be one jazzy vest! Nice job on the Cashmerino scarf, BTW. (Carolyn, there's snow in Milwaukee today - you should get some soon, too!)
Fandaaaaaaango! Sending you good ripping out vibes. You know me, frog lady :-)
Looking on the bright side, at least you'd only done ONE of the pieces before making the horrific discovery. I'm betting that you will get in the rip-out mood shortly.
