attention falling gauge
Cashmerino scarf - done.

Another Christmas gift finished. I'm down to the last two. Just one skein of Prime Alpaca and some US3's stand between me and a holiday gifting victory lap. But don't get out the wrapping paper just yet. One cowl and one double knit hat. At that gauge. I'm gonna be down to the wire here. Guess it's not really kosher to outsource your holiday knitting, huh? Maybe I could use two strands... hmmm....
By the way, my hand is fine. I can see now that it was just a big bruise on my wrist. I've got two very active toddlers and they are such BOYS, constantly banging and bruising me while horsing around. Poor mommy. But at least I can still knit!

a christmas story
I love seeing your finished projects -- your blog is the first thing I check out everyday after checking e-mail. One quick question--how do you find time to whip up things so quickly w/two small boys (my children are just turned 2, 6 & 8
and have a hard time sneaking in some knitting)?
Hints (loved the blue/lavender scarf, too).
Isn't it amazing the injuries such small people can inflict on their mommies? One of my boys accidentally hit me right below my knee with a plastic toy teapot and I've got a whopping bruise there today. Seems ridiculous. Glad you can still knit with your bruise!
Time to get out that knitting machine perhaps? I made a long, striped, scarf for a christmas present on my Bond USM, and it turned out great! I finished it in only about 4 hours. I just found out you can seam on the machine too! I also have some hand pain that is unfortunately not just a bruise, so I am looking forward to more machine knitting.
Cashmerinoooooo...excuse me while I drool over your scarf.
I hope your hand is fine. I know my own son is rough and tumble (he knocked my glasses clear off my face the other day while playing. Yikes!) so I can only imagine how it must be to have two of them!
Yay Alison... You are well on your way indeed! I still have at least four more felted bags to finish up, but I figure two a day and then attaching i-cord would hit me on the mark to finishing my holiday gifts.... Do you think giving two balls of pricey mohair would be a nice gift to a newbie knitting sister? She admired the mohair I am using for my BOC... Maybe tell her to knit a garter stitch scarf for herself? Or do you think I should make the scarf for her?
Love the mocha scarf! Makes me hungry looking at it...I love cashmerino aran, soooo soft.
Hi
I just love the scarf! It looks wonderful!
