knit-along nut

Despite the fact that it's getting crowded over in the knit-along sidebar, I'm joining knit-alongs like it's going out of style. I signed up for Kate and Theresa's Must Have Cardigan Knit-along and then Laurin's Vintage Knits-along. And now, since you asked for it (well, Amy did) a Banff knitalong.

PS- While the Phildar knit-along is going strong, some of the other knit-alongs are slowing down. I know of two ponchos, one ribby, and two wannabe sweaters that are still active. Anyone else out there have a knitalong update?

oooh - the banff along sounds intriguing. I won't join at the mometn but I reserve the right to change my mind and dive in later! I like the font you used on the button, is that the same as the Knitty font?

Hey, I'll be knitting a version of Banff (using Jenna's schematic but my numbers since the mohair I'll be using doesn't match gauge or anything even close to it - does that count?) but not until I'm done with my Must Have and the Big Sweater. I should be done those by mid-February - is that too late to sign on for the knit along?

Kerrie and Kate, you're welcome to join whenever you're ready. As you can see, I hang on to the knit-alongs for a while!

Yes, Kerrie the font is the Knitty font. Amy and Jenna were nice enough to let me use the Knitty images to make the button and thumbnail picture. Thanksagain, ladies!

I will be swatching Banff today. Thanks for hosting the knit-a-long Alison.

I ordered the Must Have pattern yesterday so I have to join that knit-a-long also.

Yippee, I ripped out that hideous surprise sweater and was just waiting for a project to move me. I will be joining in on the Banff using Classic Elite's Newport (cotton). Thanks for the inspiration. BTW, the K1P2 box just arrived in Somerville and will be making its way to you soon.

Woo hoo, Carolyn! I'm doing a little ribby jig here for you. I hope we get dancing photos! ;0 Elisabeth, you were one of the "wannabes" I was thinking of. Don't worry, knit-along's still goin' on!

And welcome to the Banff knitalong to the others! How nice to have some more folks knitting along. Keep me posted. And don't knit too fast - I've still got to rip out my ribby to get the yarn for Banff!

I'd like to join the Banff-along too. Hmmm...now I've got to find a yarn. My first knitalong. Yippee!

I'm still working on the poncho, in between a few other things. Eventually it will be finished, now that I finally found a pattern I love!

hmmm...maybe I could use the Prism from the frogged jacket to make Banff. Let's get swatching and find out.

Hi Alison,

You've really got me tempted. This sweater would be perfect in the Manos-like yarn I got from ebay. I have so many projects going on, I'll have to sign on later when I see how the Kyoto knitalong goes!

You get the official Knitalong Queen crown. Go, Alison, Go!

Way to go, Nelson! How wonderful that you've gotten compliments on it as well. A great reward for your hard work!

Go, Brenda, go! Congrats on your finished ribby. Can't wait to see the poncho!

Iris and Larissa, let me know if you decide to join us on Banff. I'll add you to the list as soon as you're sure. :)

I'm a wannabe no longer! I finished seaming my stripey retro sweater back in November, so I'm overdue to post a photo on my blog. You can mark me fini!

My wanna-be is screaming the following at me:

"So what that it is 10 degrees out...knit on me, god damn it!!" Really. It's screaming.

I'm one of the stragglers in the Ponch-along. I'm sorry to report that my poncho is no more. The yarn I bought knit up really squinchy, so until I find the perfect yarn, the poncho is on hold. :( You can take me off the list... Thanks!
