And while I was waiting for my yarn, I also finished the little daisy cardigan.
She's so sweet. The Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino really knits up well. And the Pipsqueaks pattern was fun to knit (yes, I do like me a good chart to follow).
So now this baby has the green light from me to be born. And I've got to work on getting some more non-knitting, baby-girl-having friends!

So so so so so so cute! I love baby clothes, can't wait to start making a few of my own - I set myself a deadline of not starting any actual clothes before June. Do you have any more baby girls to knit for or are the other friends expecting boys or don't knows?
Hi Alison!
That cardigan is sooooooooooooooo beautiful!! Wish I was expecting a little girl, so you could knit me one ;) But guess it will be another 3-5 years before I should have a baby :)

Kerrie, the next one is a "don't know". I've already chosen the sweater (you can see a pic on my wips page) and just have to hope that it'll be neutral enough. Maybe I can do the trim in a gender-specific color once the sex is known.
I love the little mandarin collar. Very cute.
Double bonus points for finishing BEFORE the baby arrives. Very cute!
Ohhh, that's such a darling little cardigan! You did such a beautiful job; the baby will look precious!
So pretty !
Looking forward to Cardi Raye's finale as well. :0)
i will loan you some of mine...
Beautiful sweater. What a lucky baby! I feel like I have thousands of non-knitting friends and relatives having babies right now. Want some of mine??
hey, what a lucky little baby girl! Lovely job, Alison!
and hey again, if you ever want to swap knitting--let me know! hee hee
what do your little knitting labels say?
The labels say, 'handknit by Alison Hansel' and have a little picture of a yarn ball. I can never seem to sew them in exactly centered. Doh!
What a sweet little cardi! Lucky little girl :-) I've enjoyed watching this one come to fruition.
So sweet! Maybe you should try for twin girls? :)
Super cute cardi. And great job getting done before baby arrived. I can never seem to do that.
Alison, this is such an adorable sweater! I am adding it to my knit-for-the-kid queue, as I think I have the pattern, and I think it goes big enough for my wee gal. Meanwhile, the baby I'm making a blanket for beat his due date by two weeks, so I'm racing to that finish line. (BTW, Do we know the sex of Kerrie's baby-to-be?)
Such a pretty sweater! I meant to comment on this when you posted a close-up photo of them: The buttons are soooo perfect.
It's been my experience that friends who knit often are more appreciative of hand-made gifts than those who don't knit...not always, but often. So, I wouldn't let that stop you from making something for the baby of a friend who knits. :)
beeeyutiful! And very season appropriate! :) That is one lucky baby with some cashmere! teaching her right! ;)
It is so very cute! I love it! Great job. ;-)
I love it. Especially the neckline. It's amazing how finishing a small sweater seems to take almost as long as an adult sweater.
Are you waiting for the babe to arrive to send it?
Beautiful sweater. I love how much detail you put into it...the pretty buttons and the label.
All at once now: "Awwww!"
Tres cute.
Soooo sweet! You did a beautiful job, as always, Alison.
Thanks so much everyone! I'm feeling a bit under the weather, so it's really nice to hear such kind words from everyone. :)
Once again. It's perfect! Hope you're feeling better!
How could I miss this cardigan! It is adorable. Very lucky recipient, Alison.
That sweater is darling. My friend had a baby girl Friday, and I know she'd love it.
Where'd you get the pattern?
