Alison! This week I made two pair of pants! One can be seen on my blog. Today I will make a blouse. I didn't opt for the pattern suggested to the sew along, instead I chose Simplicity 5195-which is quite similar. I will be making it in cornflower blue tencel woven. I also want to make a few more pair of pants- we'll see.
[Comes bursting in, blowing birthday horns and throwing confetti all around.]
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALISON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make a wish :-)
XOXOXOXO,

Happy Birthday -- that sure was some good cake! You'd better get it out of our refrigerator, or it will begin to mysteriously disapperar! ;)
This is something my Mom liked to do on her birthday, maybe your boys would think this was cute:
She'd say "Hold up your finger, okay now that's a birthday candle. I'm going to make a wish and blow it out." Then she'd close her eyes and scrunch up her face, then she'd blow on my finger and ask me if she'd blown out the candle. If I said no, she'd do it again. This of course made me laugh hysterically because she would turn purple. When finally I said yes, the candle is out, she would say "Then I get my wish. (what did you wish for, mommy?) I wished we could go get ice cream" and we would.
Wow! A holiday birthday! How old were you when you found out that the fireworks weren't for you?
Happy, Happy day.
Oh Geez! I am sorry! I thought you were saying Happy Birthday to the U.S.A., I didn't realize it was your brithday too! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
That's my FAVORITE birthday song! Happy birthday!
Yeah, that song's one of my faves too. I used to sing it to the boys when it was bathtime - "nah-nah, nah-nah, nah-nah, nah, nah, you say it's your bath day...." They got so used to it that once I did a few "nah-nah"'s, they'd come running!
Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone! :)
