This project was so quick to make. It really only took four days to knit (two in June and two in August). The yarn is way weird, but neat (those loops happen all on their own) and very easy to work with. The pattern could not be simpler, or cleverer. And although the thing looks like some sort of furry monster muppet while on the needles, once you slip it on, it's so cool. And look, if it weren't so loopy and open (read, naked!), it'd even make a funky skirt!

I didn't think I was a big poncho fan, but after seeing how nicely yours turned out (it looks beautiful on you) I may have to change my mind.
With the skirt it looks like such a perfect fall outfit. Fall in New England. Ahhhhhhh......
That is so cool and funk-AY. If that were mine, I'd be wearing it ragged come fall. Very nice, Alison!
oh, it looks great! love the look of the texture and you look wonderful in it!
Isn't that just adorable? I too am making a poncho but the longer version using brown sheep yarn. Mine has a cable down the front and down the back. Yup, this N.E. heat is not inspiring for winter projects. Your poncho needs to go out to a nice restaurant now. (hint). Thanks for posting your knitting. It's very inspiring.

Wow! that is really cool looking. It's very attractive on you as a skirt. How about a slip underneath. It fits you great! What pattern is that? :)
It's adorable! Damn it, I was gearing up to do one with stash yarn, but the Cicco looks so dang good...
oh, it is so cute! And I actually like it as a skirt.
That's beautiful, Alison! It looks great as a poncho and a skirt! That yarn intrigues me...
How adorable!! Sew a thin slippy thing to but under for a skirt. Love how you are daring enough to make it.
lovely!
can you post the pattern and yarn you used?
i'm inspired.
Looks great! And isn't it fun wearing ponchos as skirts?
Put a brightly colored slip under there and wear it as a skirt! That looks awesome! What a fun pattern that is.
I've linked to the free Magknits pattern in the post. Check out this post for a close-up and link to the yarn. :)
Neat-o! With my new trend in accessories knitting and the promise of a quick project for fall, I just ordered some Cicco. A napping baby and a bunch of knitting blogs leads me to shopping, I guess. :)
no way is that poncho versatile enough for a skirt! fantastic!
That's a pretty poncho! I love it as a skirt too.
I actually like it as a skirt more. You can carry it off because you are thin. Maybe with some tights and a fitted turtleneck.
Cute poncho! Maybe you should consider knitting a skirt too...veddy cute.
I like it as a skirt! Hey, that's what linings are for. You could even make something that is more slip-like so that you can still wear it without the lining over your shoulders! :)
You are a very brave (and thin) lady to put that purl stitch over your hips. It looks great on you!
I'm not a big poncho fan since Malaysian weather does not really permit unless it's potted with holes or is really light or if I'm not wearing anything under, but yours has got me a-yearning for poncho. Love the grey yarn. It looks fantastic and it can double as a skirt!
I love it, either as a poncho or a skirt! Too Cute!
Your Paris Loop looks wonderful! I'm also knitting this right now, but substituting for the Cicco with some thick and thin Lion Brand Woolspun. And I concur with the others- it looks great on you as a skirt!
Ooh, it came out lovely! You look marvelous.
