Loving Jess. Loving the cotton angora.
Now this is what yarn is supposed to feel like! Although I do get the angora fluff up the nose constantly and the weight of the whole thing is beginning to strain my wrist a bit. It's all worth it though. I've finished short-rowing in all the cast on stitches. The front curves are almost complete. Then comes the second set of short rows which set the shape of the front panels. Can you see in the pattern pic how they're actually angled? The fronts are done like a diagonal scarf with increases on one side and decreases on the other. It's so cool!

Now that's some impressive shaping. I absolute love working short rows; watching that fabric taking shape just by turning the work gives me a kick, I tell you. This is going to be a wonderful project. I can't wait to see it finished!
I'm loving the way that pattern is knitting up! You may be tempting me into a Cotton Angora sweater to go with my Cotton Angora bucket hat. Maybe I need a big shawl sweater held together with a kilt pin like your mom does. Dangerous.
That pattern has intregued me since I saw it in the DB book.. It's neat to see how it works out. You make it very tempting.
For everyone in the tea party knittalong: You've got to check out Hanne's cool best friend doll at http://zeusstrik.typepad.com. I don't think she's part of the knittalong, but she's made a doll with a huge wardrobe, and I think she's working on another one. How cool are those tiny shooes!!!
