knitalong finishers
The tea party's still going strong, although I think I'm gonna call mine done sans creamer. Who needs cream anyway, right? Just take some more sugar, okay? At tea parties elsewhere, Georgia is all done with her crazy colors tea set and the recipient loved it! Hooray! And Helene, knitter of our fabulous mascot, Miss Muffin, found a couple of finished best friend dolls ready for tea. Here's Hanne's with a wardrobe to die for, and Vaire's with electric blue hair. I love them!
In the pool, Barbara finished her pooling scarf. It's incredible! What an inspiration for some of us who have gotten discouraged. Yes, Virginia, there is pooling! Barbara has posted some details here of how she got her scarf to work for those who are still struggling.
I hope you checked out Eklectika's finished pictures of her linen drape tank. And Laetitia's finished a beautiful tank herself. So purty.
And look, another pair of finished sweat pants! Come on, now that you've seen Melissa's, you gotta admit, they're cool. Okay, and a little ridiculous. But, WE MADE SWEATPANTS! COOL!
And did you see that the new edition of Magknits is out? Gonna be some knitalongs there, I bet! Anyone else gotta have an Ubernatural like me?

The Olympic medals contest is officially closed. I'll be having the hubby work up some computerized random name/number picker/generator thingy to make selection easier. And I'll post the winners tomorrow!

For an easy random number generator, drop all the contest names into an Excel spreadsheet. Make a column called RANDOM and set the field to =RAND()*100 -- this will give you a random number between 1 and 100. WARNING: everytime this field refreshes, the number will change, so copy the column and repaste just the values. Then sort by the random number and use a similar method to pick a random number to match one of those values to. Okay, maybe it isn't completely easy, but simpler than writing a program... :D
Thanks for all the links. I think it's time for some new knitalongs!
Ooh, I've spotted Ubernatural too! Not only is it cute but it looks like a quick knit. Now I just have to find some super bulky yarn that won't break the bank. (Blue Sky bulky alpaca is way too expensive!)
Aww, you're all so inspiring. But you're moving on to new knitalongs before I've even had a chance to start the old ones!
Hi, I'm already halfway down my Ubernatural! Had to do some tweaking on the pattern , there are errors especially with the increases you need to rejig the stitch numbers and placing and I added 3 sts each side of the fronts to make a button stand and buttonhole stand , I felt the maths added up better that way. I had no bulky yarn so swatched and am knitting with 2 strands of DK yarn on 10mm needles but knitting it longer than the pattern. Not that clear but I did the maths and maintained the proportions. It is for my daughter so I will tell you how it works out. Looks good so far.
Awesome, Judith! Thanks for the tips on the numbers in the pattern. I'll be keeping my eye out in Germany for some appropriate yarn for ubernatural. Since the pattern's online, I can just start it there if I find something. Fingers crossed!
