blog on
Much fun with boys = very little knitting = weak blog weekend. But now the blog is back on!

First, the only knitting I have to show from the last few days - the start to my foxy beret. (Knitting up these leftovers has reminded me how much I love this rowan kid classic yarn. Why do I not have more of this in my stash? Must remedy that....) It's actually almost done now, but I haven't had a moment to snap a pic of it since I took this one a few days ago.
My camera, usually full of knitting pics, is instead full of a week's worth of fundays with the boys. Some sample pics:

accessorize me
I did not realize there is a corn maze in Mass! We went to one in PA! I would be hopelessly lost there still if it weren't for my husband. Good thing he kept me with him! :)
The boys look so handsome in their Krispy Kreme hats! They look so grown! Man!
And you are superwoman. No wonders you are so thin and strong, carrying those not so small boys around like that! Soon, they'll have to lug you around!
:)
About the weasley knitalong.
Okay, I have lots of other things to finish first, but you sure are tempting me here!
But when I click on the Rowan pattern link in your knitalong collumn, and then on the "order this book" button I only get a "document not found" error. I asked our Norwegian Rowan importer, and she told me that the pattern had been withdrawn because the royalty to the HP-people was so high. So is it really impossible to get a hold of this pattern now??
Sandy, the boys are so big now! I added another picture of the boys running around at the arboretum so you can see just how tall (and usually blurry!) they are.
Hmmm, Helene, that's a problem. It is hard to find any links for the Rowan pattern online. I did see it listed at a stitch above knitting. I bet that copies are still hanging around at local yarn shops all over. The trick is finding one. Try giving the store above a call and see if they still have it. Otherwise, there's always the kits (yarn and pattern) from Yarn Warehouse.
How on Earth are you carrying both of those boys? You're going to throw your back out!
Your Foxy Beret is looking great, btw. Love, love, love the colors.
Mmmmm... Krispie Kremes....
I think Sandy resides on the moon. Of course there are corn mazes (ha! I almost wrote maizes) in Mass. More than one in fact. They kinda freak me out but my boys love them. (Reminds of when Max was three and we took him by the Common on a cold winter day. He looked at the expanse of land and he exclaimed "Now this looks like a good place for a boy to run!" That's what they do in the mazes, too. Run, boys, run!)
